A Bio-Tanning Approach
Earth Tan combines two advanced botanical tanning actives. Together, they form a synergistic approach designed to enhance visible depth while supporting longer-lasting results.

  • Indigo-derived tanning complex supports the skin’s natural melanin-producing pathways, activating and intensifying visible pigmentation over time.
  • Carob Fruit–derived Inositol supports the skin’s natural tanning response to promote post-exposure melanin production, supporting quicker, deeper and longer-lasting tanning.

Natural Colour Enhancers
Key ingredients include deeply red Buriti Oil, exceptionally rich in carotenoid antioxidants, which enhances warmth and golden undertones.

Acacia Tree Bark Extract, a natural botanical colourant traditionally used for its rich brown hue and skin-soothing properties, adds depth and intensity to the tone.

Together, these colour-rich botanicals enhance tan richness and help create a deeper, more bronzed finish.

Hydration
Well-hydrated skin maintains colour more evenly. Glycerin draws moisture into the skin while Coconut extract helps seal it in.

Light Reflection
The jelly texture enhances light reflection for deeper tanning, while natural mineral Silica creates an instantly luminous, glowy skin finish.


Antioxidant Support
Green Tea Oil, Coffee Oil, Rhatany Root, and Calendula Flower are naturally rich in polyphenols, flavonoids, beta-carotene (pro-vitamin A), Vitamin E and essential fatty acids.

These protective plant nutrients help defend against environmental stress while supporting skin resilience, hydration and comfort, creating the ideal foundation for tanning.

Where Our Ingredients Come From

We travel, figuratively and literally, to find the finest botanical extracts from around the world: oils from the Amazon, shrubs from the Andes, Mediterranean botanicals and treasures from the Indian peninsula. Each one is selected not just for performance, but for its provenance and positive environmental impact.

Earth Tan is COSMOS ECOCERT certified, ensuring that our raw materials are ethically sourced and cultivated under fair conditions. Our ingredients are sourced from growers and communities who share our commitment to responsible practice and respectful trade. 

Vegan and Cruelty-Free

We never use animal-derived ingredients or test on animals ever. And all our sourced ingredients are never tested on animals either. 

Minimal Energy, Maximum Care

Unlike many beauty products that require high-energy heat processes, our tan accelerators are created using a gentle cold process, which consumes less energy and preserves the integrity of our botanical ingredients. 

Recyclable and Responsible Packaging

We refuse to contribute to plastic pollution.

• Our tubes are made from infinitely recyclable aluminium (no microplastics).

• Caps are made from recyclable PE plastic, and we are actively pursuing non-plastic alternatives.

• The outer packaging is composed of recyclable paperboard.

Water Saving and Reef-Friendly

Our formulas contain very little water, conserving this precious resource. And, every ingredient we use, including our natural fragrances, is biodegradable and not harmful to reef life. 

Responsible Palm and GMO-Free

We minimise palm-derived ingredients and only use those certified by the RSPO to ensure responsible sourcing.

We never use genetically modified ingredients. 

Self-Preserving By Formulation

Thanks to their low water content, our products don’t require added preservatives, which means a formula that’s kinder on your skin and the planet.
