Carob Bean Fruit Extract (D-Chiroinositol)

Our Carob Bean Extract comes from the fruit of Carob trees that are native to the Mediterranean. This 100% natural extract accelerates, intensifies, and prolongs tanning. It stimulates tyrosinase (the enzyme responsible for the first step in melanin production) via a different melanin-producing pathway to the more well-known L-Tyrosine. Its magic lies in its ability to activate post-UV-exposure tanning to prolong the life of the tan by up to 49%. It also deepens tanning, resulting in a 28% darker colour. If that wasn’t enough, this magical little extract reduces the effects of photoaging by stimulating collagen I production by up to 60%.
